The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council.

7 Lot Subdivision Approved

Council passed a resolution to allow a proposed development at 262 Stratford Road to proceed. The conditional use within the Medium Density Zone (R2) allows the developer to build 100% of the units within the 3.08 acres of land as duplex, semi-detached or townhouse units for a total of 20 units rather than the as of right 14 units. The preliminary approval is valid for a period of three years and subject to all of the conditions outlined in the resolution.

Committee Member Appointment

Council approved a resolution to appoint Aaron MacDougall to the Planning, Development & Heritage Committee for the remainder of the current term ending November 30, 2020.

Proclamation – Mental Health Week

Mayor Steve Ogden proclaimed that May 6-12, 2019 be proclaimed as “CMHA Mental Health Week” in the Town of Stratford and urged all citizens to “Get Loud About What Mental Health Really Is”.

Other Business

A resolution was approved to move the start time for the upcoming Stratford Town Council Meetings in June, July, August and September to 4:30pm.
