The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council.
Southside Greens Development Change of Use Proposal
Council resolved that preliminary approval be granted to the application from SSG2 Partners Inc. for a Change of Use on Lot 6 (parcel number 653576) of the Southside Greens Development from two 24-unit Apartments to four 5-unit Townhouses and one 4-unit Townhouse, totaling 24 Townhouse units, located on the Kinlock Road, subject to a series of required conditions.
Regional Aquatic Facility Board Appointment
Council resolved that Recreation Director Joanne Weir be re-appointed to the CARI Board for the year 2017, to represent the Town of Stratford's interest on the Board.
Stratford Announces GHG Emission Reduction Target
Council approved the proposed Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Target of 20% below 2015 levels for the town corporation, and a Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Target of 6% below 2015 levels for the Community, by the year 2026.
Mental Health Week in Stratford -May 1 to 7, 2017
Mayor Dunphy proclaimed the week of May 1 to 7, 2017 as National CMHA Mental Health Week, and encourages all citizens to join him and ‘Get Loud' for Mental Health.
