Stratford Emergency Services Centre is located on Georgetown Road. Built in 2020 and open to the public since 2021, the centre houses the Town’s essential service including the RCMP, Cross Roads Fire Department, and Island EMS.
Stratford Emergency Services Centre is an enterprising project undertaken by the Town in 2018 when it was approved for development by Stratford Council to replace the former fire hall and RCMP office on Mason Road, which was torn down when the roundabout at the Mason Road/Georgetown Road intersection was constructed. The building stands on a 27,000 sq. ft. area and was designed and built in line with the Town’s sustainability vision, such as taking into account the best orientation for solar heating, design features like building the training tower to operate as a required emergency exit but also as a training tower for the fire department members.
